That is such a pretty tea cup! I am really enjoying the journal. Thanks again! I also want to make several of the items on the 12 days of Christmas...now to get the house clean and other things done so I can have a little time to work on them.

The purpose in giving is blessing others. We've been blessed by God in countless ways. The joy in giving comes from blessing others as we've been blessed.
Thank you for this giveaway and the wonderful blog posts you've been sharing.

The purpose of giving is to bless others and to be a picture of what God has given us.

The purpose of giving is to share the heart of Jesus. What I mean by this is to shine His Light so that others may see our joy we have in Him, and that those who don't know Him will grow to love Him through our example. :)

Merry CHRISTmas!

The purpose of giving is to bless others. I think an added bonus is the blessings that we feel as we give to others. Some of my most precious memories are giving to others and them not knowing who the giver is. That ALWAYS blesses me twice as much.

The purpose in giving is that, in some small way, it gives us a chance to return Christ's love to us by blessing others out of His abundance toward us. When we give, we esteem others as more important than outselves, and we are able to be the physical hands of Christ, reaching out in love to others.

Why do we give? As a Christian we serve others by giving of ourselves. We empty ourselves by giving of our time and talents in order to be filled up with more God's love. All's grace, April

The purpose of giving is to bless others. In God's grace, it is also in giving that we are blessed.
Thanks so much for these give-aways! They have been a blessing!

The purpose of giving is to show the heart of Christ's love for us. He gave and therefore we continue giving small acts of kindness to others as expressions of his love. Whether that be with our time or money these are acts that are given freely and abundantly.

Like everything we do, I think the end purpose of giving is to glorify God (as well as blessings others)! Thank you for these posts and give aways.

The purpose of giving is to show others how much you love them and that you think about them. If the gifts are truly heartfelt and you put a lot of thought into each gift, it shows a little bit of your love and Jesus's love thru you. I actually love to give, even more to recieve. Its so exciting watching the recipents face when they open the gift! Thank you for the fun contests and wonderful ideas! Merry Christmas to all!

The purpose of giving is to model the life of Christ, who gave everything to serve and bless us. As we give, we become more and more Christ-like, and our gifts bless others in their journey. Giving can feel like a burden, but I believe it is actually a privilege.

The purpose of giving is to learn to walk in Christ's ways, so that we can learn to love & serve Him with all our hearts, mind, and soul. Thank you for giving all of us an opportunity to have these lovely gifts!

Giving is love. When you give of yourself to make others life better is far better than anything you can do.Whether you bless others with a gift basket to help threw hard times or an ear to listen to troubles. To give is to love. Sharon

The purpose of giving is to show love and care for others as God did for us through Christ...the best gift of all! :) Merry Christmas!

I collected teacups and teapots and this would be gorgeous in my collection!

The purpose of giving is to give of ourselves just has God has given of Himself. We give because He has blessed us abundantly and we want to share those blessings with others.

The purpose in giving is to bless or aid another, to make someone happy and to imitate our Lord and Savior who gave His very life for us. He is the ultimate gift. I like the teacup set because it would be a wonderful gift for my daughter Isabella. We women are much like teabags, we find out how strong we are when placed in hot water. It took me a while to figure out where to comment on for the drawings. Thank you so much for encouraging our feminity while taking care of our homes and families. I LOVE your magazines and projects. Be blessed! :)

Thank you so much for showcasing the "gentler" arts & reminding us all that femininity in women is a beautiful thing. I've so enjoyed your 12 days of Christmas posts. Have a blessed Christmas.

I guess to me the purpose of giving is immitation of how God gave us such a precious gift. And the Lord Jesus says it is a sure path to blessing.

The purpose of giving is to be and to become like Christ and to show His glory. We are like Christ when we give because He is abundantly generous. We become like Him when we give as it combats the selfishness and pride that sometimes so easily beset us.

The purpose of giving is to bless someone by giving them a physical token of your love.

The purpose of giving is...to be a reminder that none of what we have is truly ours but merely on loan to us as a blessing that can be passed along.

The purpose of giving is to reflect a little of our Heavenly Father's generosity and love that He has shown for us. This is the time of year that we celebrate His greatest gift...the gift of His only Son. His Son who willingly came to earth to die and be resurrected to conquer sin and death, so that He could offer us the gift of eternal life with Him. Thank You, Jesus!

The purpose of giving is to bless those around us. To show them the love of Christ in all we do and to not expect anything in return. We give because we love just as God loved us that He gave His Son. We can learn a lot from just that thought! Do it out of love.

(Sorry I was so excited to enter to win the tea cup I did not see the question until I posted my comment previously...sorry!)

Well, I'll have to agree with what so many have already said. Giving glorifies God. It's a blessing for the the giver as well as the one receiver. Pure giving is a picture of Christ and his love for us - giving Himself, knowing we have nothing of value to offer him. Our response should be to freely give our entire self back to Him - and others.

The purpose of giving is to be the Lord's "hands and feet" as well as to keep our hearts and minds off of ourselves and onto others. We often miss the big picture of ministry because we focus too much on ourselves. Giving MAKES us see the needs in others so that we can then be obedient and serve them by giving. Thanks so much for these encouraging posts! It's been a lot of fun!

Kim S. said...

The purpose of giving truly is to following the example of Christ. It does our hearts so much good, though, that I'm sure it's part of His purpose in conforming us to His image. Thank you so much for putting The 12 Days of Christmas together, Theresa. It's been so much fun to follow. You all are truly gifted - thank you so much for sharing!

The purpose of giving is to impart just some of the blessings God has given to us. Every day God give us spiritual and earthly blessings, but He also set the example by giving the greatest gift--His Son.

The purpose of giving is to make others happy, to sow a spirit of gratitude and generosity within oneself, but most importantly is to show the heart of Christ through action.
